Wow Karl! This is so surreal, it’s like something out of a noir sci fi film about a dystopian future where on the outside things are swoosh and elegant, but the customer/ordinary person is nothing. I’d go to the Ombudsman with this entire story as you published it here. There are still regulatory bodies out there, at least for the time being 😩 At least we have to show them we’re not just taking it…

Yes, they are much better. I mainly bank with Triodos and the Cooperative Bank, and use a building society as well.
