I hate seeing litter, and things dumped in our waterways. I either report it, or just sort it out myself. Here are some random examples of practical activism.
Before we dragged it out of the river
A very rusty trolley that had been half-buried. Pulled it out of the river with a friend’s help.
I always wanted to be Action Man
This buggy (with a missing wheel) had been abandoned in the mud so we pulled it out (and collected a bin bag of bottles and cans nearby).
Left it for collection.
Scummy supermarkets. If they don’t have a deposit for trolleys, they end up in the river.
A bench I pulled out. The river was six feet lower than the walkway.
Litter picking, not shopping. Yes, I look like a caveman.
Cuts from broken glass.
Remains of a Tesco party. I took it all to the nearest bin, about a quarter of a mile away.
Another abandoned trolley, littering the landscaoe.
Well done, Karl! The amount of rubbish thrown in the waterways is insane, and on top of that, what's with the culture of throwing away perfectly usable things? That wee play frame could have been given to another child. The pram could have been easily fixed, but people are becoming used to treat any and all products as disposable. Nowadays it's rare to find a person with repair skills. It's tragic.

Great work Karl! Keep it up.
