Wow, that's amazing. I'm up for litter picking but not cold water plunges, if only people would engage with this. I had someone tell me it is good to litter, keeps people employed. I was left without a response because, really, where do you even start? Thank you.
Well done, Karl! The amount of rubbish thrown in the waterways is insane, and on top of that, what's with the culture of throwing away perfectly usable things? That wee play frame could have been given to another child. The pram could have been easily fixed, but people are becoming used to treat any and all products as disposable. Nowadays it's rare to find a person with repair skills. It's tragic.
You are amazing
Thank you! :-)

I've heard that idiocy too. By extension: "Hey, why not become serial killers so we keep police detectives (and TV drama writers) employed?"
It would be better if there was no litter to pick, and the money could be spent on other roles like healthcare, planting trees, helping communities.
Luckily the water hasn't been too cold or required me being in for too long! :-)

I completely agree. It is easy to despair. Capitalism and consumerism, hand in hand, rather than respecting nature and walking lightly on the earth.
Great work Karl! Keep it up.
Thanks John!
